Taking Care of Your Jewelry

Do
: Keep jewelry pieces separate in a ziplock or anti-tarnish bag.
Do: Remove all jewelry before going to bed.
Do: Keep jewelry in a cool, dry, place.
Don't: Toss jewelry into a pile or a drawer.  This can cause scratches or
fractures.
Don't: Use toothpaste as a cleaner.  This can scratch some fine jewelry.
Don't: Wear fine jewelry when doing housework or gardening. This can

or discolor some precious metals.
Don't: Get perfumes, oils, or chemicals on your jewelry.
Don't: Use paper towels to for cleaning or drying.  This can cause
scratches.

How to Clean Your Jewelry

Most fine jewelry
can be cleaned with a mild liquid soap, warm water
and a soft brush (if needed).  Soak for a few minutes and dry with a
soft, lint-free cloth.

Pearls can be scratched so they should be cleaned with an unused
make-up brush, warm water, and a mild liquid soap.  Let air dry.
